The office building being designed for Controle, a company based in Governador Valadares, will be a showcase for sustainability. As LEED certification moves to the more rigorous version 4, it has become necessary to reach deeper levels of sustainability in order to certify a project. As a part of the learning curve for Brazilian companies, Controle aims to be one of the first LEED v4 certified projects in Brazil.

Mitsidi’s team carry out the energy and comfort simulations to guarantee the performance of the building and prove its exceptional thermal and energy performance within the strict guidelines of LEED v4.

The final design has excellent thermal performance and energy efficiency, a challenge in the hot climate of Governador Valadares.
